Muchas veces vivimos demasiado aferrados a lo que ya sabemos, sin dejar espacio a todo lo que nos queda por saber. De ahí la importancia de aprender a aprender. ¿Y qué mejor lugar que CREAR para entender que aprender es infinito? Ser conscientes de que en nuestro mundo caben muchos mundos más, y es por eso que CREAR proporciona un espacio multicultural donde personas de todos los rincones del mundo somos capaces de unirnos y compartir. Porque compartir es aprender. Intercambiar valores e ideas. Construir conocimiento. Dar un poco de nosotros mismos y estar abiertos a recibir. Qué importante saber trabajar en equipo, ser tolerantes con nuestro entorno, agradecidos por todo lo que las personas pueden aportar.
La forma en que la Asociación CREAR desarrolla sus programas de arte, inglés y empoderamiento femenino, es gracias a los pasantes que deciden colaborar con nuestra entidad. Bajo la guía de la dirección ejecutiva y la coordinación administrativa se establece el contenido de los programas y se congrega un equipo de trabajo en constante dinámica. Porque sin duda, el dinamismo es uno de los aspectos que más nos representa. Siempre estar en movimiento, para que los niños y niñas puedan aprender desde diferentes perspectivas, ideas, experiencias… ya sea organizando excursiones para ver artistas locales, integrando cursos de artesanía, hula–hula en los diferentes programas, creando campamentos con diferentes actividades. Es importante que los niños y niñas aprendan jugando, experimentando y así poco a poco averiguando como son, sus preferencias, gustos, intereses… Que construyan su identidad a través del aprendizaje y la libertad que el conocimiento les proporciona.
Y lo más bonito de todo es que mientras los niños y las niñas aprenden, los que trabajamos con ellos también aprendemos de forma simultanea. Es tan enriquecedor trabajar con personas distintas, con diversas personalidades, culturas, formas de trabajar… adaptarte al proceso de inducción, conocer los niños, la metodología…Y sí, es cierto que acoplarse al diario vivir sea calor en verano o exceso de humedad y mosquitos en invierno hacen que la vida laboral en CREAR sea algo intensa. Pero al final, el trabajo siempre acaba siendo gratificante y eso compensa todas las dificultades que nos toca vivir. Es ahí donde reside la autenticidad de CREAR, una entidad que cambia vidas de aquellas personas que están abiertas a aprender. Porque para aprender hay que querer aprender. Y aprender nos hace libres. Seres diversos, tolerantes y empáticos. ¡APRENDAMOS A APRENDER!
Learning How to Learn
Many times we hold on to what we already know, therefore not allowing space for new learning experiences to take place. This is the very reason why developing the idea to learn how to learn is so important. And what better place than CREAR to understand that learning is infinite? Be aware that in our world there is space for many other worlds. CREAR provides a multicultural space where people from all corners of the world are able to unite and share. Sharing is all about learning and exchanging values and ideas. This is how we build knowledge, while giving and receiving parts of ourselves to each other. Working on a team offers us the chance to be grateful for what others can contribute, while learning to tolerate different surroundings.
Asociacion CREAR develops its English, Art, and Women´s Empowerment programs through the collaborative efforts of the interns who decide to work with us. Under the guidance of the executive manager and the administrative coordinator, the content of the programs are established and teamwork is assembled in constant dynamics. Different dynamics coming together is what CREAR represents the most. We are always moving, so that children can learn from different perspectives, ideas, and experiences. This includes organizing trips to see local artists, integrating craft or hula-hula courses in different programs, and creating camps with different activities... It is important that children learn through experimenting, playing and therefore little by little finding out who they are. This helps develop a stronger sense of their preferences, tastes, and interests. This way, they can build their identity through learning and the freedom that knowledge provides them.
The most beautiful thing of all is that while the children are learning, those of us who work with them get to learn as well. It is so enriching to work with different people, with diverse personalities, cultures, ways of working. Adapting to the introduction process, getting to know the children and learning the methodology of working with them. Yes, it is true that the warmth in summer or excess humidity and mosquitoes in the winter can make working life in CREAR quite intense. But in the end, the work always ends up being rewarding, compensating for all the difficulties we have to cope with. This is where the authenticity of CREAR resides, an entity that changes the lives of people who are open to learn. Learning requires the desire to learn. Learning makes us free, diverse, tolerant and empathic human beings. LEARN TO LEARN!
