Siempre se ha dicho que la unión hace la fuerza, y CREAR es testigo de que así es. Seguro que alguna vez has querido participar en algún proyecto donde poder aportar tu granito de arena a alguna buena causa. Aunque puede que pienses que un granito de arena no es suficiente, hay que recordar que granito a granito se hace una montaña. De ahí la importancia de las alianzas que CREAR tiene con diferentes organizaciones comunales. Gracias a la colaboración de diferentes grupos de voluntarios es posible crear proyectos locales que tienen la intención de mejorar la vida de la comunidad de Guanacaste. CREAR proporciona un espacio donde las ideas se materializan y la creatividad cobra sentido.
Aquí te muestro algunos de los proyectos que hemos realizado gracias a la ayuda y generosidad de diferentes grupos de voluntarios. Desde aquí les agradecemos de nuevo sus ganas, su esfuerzo y su creatividad infinita.
Proyecto Cantarrana: Nos dimos cuenta de que en la zona de Cantarrana había un parque que estaba en deterioro y ya nadie lo utilizaba. Los voluntarios en conjunto con los vecinos de cantarrana restauraron el parque, para crear un espacio donde los niños pudieran jugar libremente. Parte de lo que hizo fue reconstruir el rancho (con madera donada del Aserradero La Bomba), colocar malla nueva (donación de la Asociación de Desarrollo de Samara) colocar bancas así como unos columpios a base de materiales reciclados. ¡Solo se necesita un poco de imaginación y los resultados pueden ser tan maravillosos como este!
Proyecto Chinampas: Chinampas es una pequeña comunidad rural que se encuentra en lo alto de la montaña y por eso, cuenta con muy pocos recursos. Las voluntarias tuvieron mucho trabajo, pero su esfuerzo valió la pena. Pintaron dos iglesias que estaban bastante descuidadas, crearon un pequeño parque a base de llantas de carros y además hicieron generosas y muy necesarias donaciones a la escuela de Chinampas.
Proyecto Sámara Pacific School: Como parte de la colaboración con la escuela Sámara Pacific School, los voluntarios arreglaron las instalaciones, y construyeron muebles para facilitar el trabajo del profesorado. Además también restauraron el parque infantil para que los niños pudieran aprender jugando y tener una escuela en mejores condiciones.
Proyecto Torito: El torito es una pequeña área de Sámara donde hay pocos recursos. Allí se encuentra el salón comunal del torito, donde algunos pasantes de CREAR hacen clases con los niños de la zona. Los voluntarios restauraron el salón comunal e hicieron preciosos dibujos por todas las paredes de colores. Además también pintaron una iglesia que estaba muy desatendida, para hacer feliz no solo a los mas pequeños si no también a los mas mayores.
Que bonito trabajar en equipo para darle vida a una idea. Que bonito poner un granito de arena y lograr hacer feliz a mucha gente. Que bonito cuando las personas se juntan y se hacen mejores personas. Que bonito CREAR. Unidos somos mejores.

“Together we are stronger” has always been a popular saying, and CREAR is witness that it is in fact true. Surely you have been interested before in participating in a project where you can contribute your bit to some good cause. Although you may think that to do one’s bit is not enough, many little make a mickle. Hence, the importance of the alliances that CREAR has with different community organizations. Thanks to the collaborations of different groups of volunteers, it is now possible to create local projects that have the intention of improving the life of the Guanacaste community. CREAR provides a space where ideas materialize and creativity gains shape.
We want to show you some of the projects we have done thanks to the help and generosity of different groups of volunteers. We are so grateful for their effort and infinite creativity.
Cantarrana Project: We realized that in the Cantarrana area there was a park that was deteriorating and no one used it. The volunteers, together with the residents of Cantarrana, restored the park to create a space where children could play freely. Part of what they did was to rebuild the ranch (with wood donated from the local sawmill), put up new fencing (donation from the local Samara Development Association), fix up the benches and swing sets and create a new mural as well as a playground made out of recycled tires. It only takes a little imagination and the results can be as wonderful as this one!
Chinampas Project: Chinampas is a small rural community that is located on the top of a mountain and therefore has very few resources. The volunteers had a lot of work, but their effort was worth it. They painted two churches that were quite neglected, created a small park/sitting area out of old car tires and also made generous and much needed donations to the school of Chinampas.
Sámara Pacific School Project: As part of the collaboration with the Sámara Pacific School, the volunteers renovated the facilities and built furniture to facilitate the work of the teachers. They also restored the playground so that the children could learn while playing and have a school in better conditions. In addition to their great work, the Delta College students also did a workshop on saving money for all of the SPS students.
El Torito Project: El Torito is a small area of Sámara with limited resources. In the community hall of El Torito, some interns of CREAR are giving classes to the children of the area. The volunteers restored the community hall and made beautiful and colourful drawings on all of the walls. They also repainted a very unattended church, making not just the little ones happy, but the older ones too!
How beautiful it is to work as a team to bring new ideas to life and turn them into reality. How wonderful that your small actions can make many people happy. How breathtaking when people grow over themselves by getting together. We must unite to win.
