Finding my purpose with CREAR

If you’ve been to Sámara, then chances are, you’ve met the remarkable girl from El Torito, Beatriz. She is one of the most dynamic and driven members of our community and her dedication to improving herself and her people is admirable. All of us here at CREAR consider it a privilege to work alongside her as she has evolved from a volunteer to our English teacher to our current Programs Manager, developing the Career & College Counseling Program within the local high school. We know that her students learn from her in a special way, because she truly understands them and the challenges they face. Please take a moment to read through her history with CREAR and why she finds it so important to support the education of the youth of her hometown, Playa Sámara.

Hello, I am Bea Jiron, born and raised in Sámara, and I want to share with you my story and growth together with Asociación CREAR. Since I was little, I have always been interested in social impact projects, nature walks and I also have a burning passion for traveling and exploring the world. This passion has shaped the vision I have of the world. For me, being able to speak multiple languages ​​was essential. Being able to get involved and share with other cultures nourished my soul and my curiosity about the world, which was very important since we live in a small tourist town where we receive people from all over the world. I wanted to share my experiences, my curiosity, and my dreams of a brighter future where I could color the world and be the change I wanted to see around me. I am so happy to have found Asociación CREAR.

I started collaborating with Asociación CREAR from the early stages of the organization. First volunteering at a lacrosse game and also at a fundraiser, also helping out on nature walks for the biannual summer camps. My role at Asociación CREAR has evolved from being a volunteer in different areas, such as leading nature walks and organizing the benefit concert, to teaching English and now being the Program Manager. My love and passion for Asociación CREAR has integrated beautifully with the organization.

Being able to witness the growth of children, seeing their comprehensive evolution and knowledge through the years brings immeasurable joy to my heart. Being part of the CREAR team has made me grow a lot as a human being. Especially being able to overcome all the challenges as a team and being able to grow as a team.

I have deep admiration and respect for Andrea Keith, the founder and leader of Asociación CREAR. Her love and passion for the organization's mission inspire me to do my best every day. Currently, Andrea and I are developing a career and college counseling program for former CREAR students who are currently in high school and seeking guidance for what comes next in their lives. I take great pride in leading this program for the youth of my community as I find a deep connection with them. I’m confident that my ability to relate to their experiences and the challenges they face will serve as a source of inspiration. With this program, we can directly impact the future of generations to come. I can't wait to see what the future holds for our organization and personal growth. Hola, soy Bea Jiron, nacida y criada en Sámara, y quiero compartir contigo mi historia y crecimiento junto a Asociación CREAR. Desde pequeña, siempre me han interesado los proyectos de impacto social, las caminatas por la naturaleza y también tengo una pasión ardiente por viajar y explorar el mundo. Esta pasión ha moldeado la visión que tengo del mundo. Para mí, poder hablar varios idiomas era esencial. Poder involucrarme y compartir con otras culturas nutría mi alma y mi curiosidad por el mundo, lo cual era muy importante ya que vivimos en un pequeño pueblo turístico donde recibimos personas de todo el mundo. Quería compartir mis experiencias, mi curiosidad y mis sueños de un futuro más brillante donde pudiera colorear el mundo y ser el cambio que quería ver a mi alrededor. Estoy tan contenta de haber encontrado a la Asociación CREAR.

Comencé a colaborar con la Asociación CREAR desde las primeras etapas de la organización. Primero como voluntaria en un juego de lacrosse y también en un evento de recaudación de fondos, también colaborando en las caminatas por la naturaleza para los campamentos bianuales. Mi rol en Asociación CREAR ha evolucionado desde ser voluntaria en diferentes áreas, como guiar caminatas por la naturaleza y organizar el concierto benéfico, hasta enseñar inglés y ahora ser la Gestora de Programas. Mi amor y pasión por la Asociación CREAR se ha integrado hermosamente con la organización.

Poder ser testigo del crecimiento de los niños, ver su evolución integral y de conocimiento a través de los años me da un regocijo inmensurable en mi corazón. Ser parte del equipo de la Asociación CREAR me ha hecho crecer muchísimo como ser humano. Especialmente el poder superar todos los desafíos como equipo y poder crecer como equipo.

Tengo una profunda admiración y respeto por Andrea Keith, la fundadora y líder de la Asociación CREAR. Su amor y pasión por la misión de la organización me inspiran a dar lo mejor de mí. Actualmente, estoy desarrollando el programa con los estudiantes del colegio local de Orientación Vocacional y Preparación para los exámenes de Admisión, junto a Andrea. Me siento muy orgullosa de liderar este programa para los jóvenes de mi comunidad, ya que encuentro una conexión profunda con ellos. Estoy segura de que mi capacidad para relacionarme con sus experiencias y los desafíos que enfrentan les servirá como fuente de inspiración. Con este programa, podemos impactar directamente en el futuro de las generaciones venideras. No puedo esperar para ver qué le depara el futuro a nuestra organización y crecimiento personal.
